The police are hailing their partnership with the Manchester court system which resulted in last week's capture, conviction and sentencing of a teenager for robbery within two days.

Nineteen-year-old Richard Whyte otherwise called ‘Richie’, of West Road in Mandeville was sentenced to two years at hard labour on Friday after being convicted of robbery with aggravation.
He was accused of robbing a foreigner last week Wednesday.
The police say Whyte robbed a woman from Belgium of her handbag, cellular phone, camera and a quantity of cash along Hargreaves Avenue in Mandeville.
Following investigations, the stolen items were found in his possession and he was subsequently identified by the complainant.
The police in a statement said the case is another indication of how partnerships with judges can result in cases being resolved in a timely manner.
